The Restoration - The "Before" Photos

Here are the before photos! Some that I took, and also a link to the real estate listing

The kitchen, with what was affectionately named "Cowboy Colonial" wallpaper. Oh, please do click on it to see it up close.

The bathroom on the main floor. These were stairs leading to the hot tub. Through the window!

Guest bath upstairs

Dining room - the red below the moulding is leather, the floral is tapestry!

Check out the ceilings!!! Apparently a Russian wood worker made those during the last restoration. I think that's one of my most favorite parts.

Fireplace in the living room. All the fireplaces were converted to gas several years ago.

This is the linoleum that was beneath the carpet in the family room. It has gold sparkles! The gentleman who owned the house before us was apparently an avid smoker, and spent all (all) of his time in there enjoying his pastime. We pulled up the carpet and padding, scrubbed and repainted, and voila - livable, smoke-free family room!

The Paaahlor. Or Parlor. Or, once it gets all set up with piano and cello, the music room!

A close up of the really nifty wallpaper in the living room. It has since been steamed, pulled down, walls were mudded, sanded, mudded again, sanded again and painted. Phew.
